With some very low temperatures in early January, this has been a tough year for Ficus trees. We recommend pruning out all dead limbs and foliage before the new growth occurs in late February to April.

I have 4 ficas in the back yard that have frost damage. I also have 2 ash? trees int he front that just grow big and need heavy trimming. Could you have me a quote?
Hello Mary Ann! We would love to come out and provide you with a free estimate. Feel free to call the office at 480-218-0826 and we will get you set up. Have a beautiful week!
Can you guys post more pictures of ficus trees before and after you prune them? I want to see how they look after a year or so. I can’t seem to find any other pictures like the ones you have posted above. Thank you much.
Sam,
No. Only the trees that say “2013” are from 2013. Because the tree hadn’t had enough time to grow out after the frost, we used photos from prior frost to demonstrate the regrowth. That’s why the caption says “how it will look after regrowth.” Sorry for not being more clear about that, but we didn’t want to over-explain things. Thanks.
I was unsuccessful in getting a hold of you guys through your phone number, however I had a quick question. Is it too late to prune ficus trees at the end of May / early June?! Some new growth has already appeared at the bottom of the tree but nothing at top…
It is not to late to prune. We would love to help you out with a quote and answer any questions you might have. We are in the office from 8-2 currently if you would like to call again. 480-218-0826. Thank you and enjoy your weekend!
I have pruned a frost bitten tree in my back yard, I think it’s a ficus. Still I’m not seeing any sugnificant regrowing. I do see a few sprouts at the base of the tree but that’s it. Is there still hope? What can I do to promote growth?
Hello Aby! I would love to see a picture of this tree. Do you have the ability to send one over to me? You can call 480-210-0826 to give us your details and we will get the ball rolling. At that time we can further discuss the growth pattern of the tree and your current watering schedule for it. Hope you are having a great day!

Are these ficus pics ALL from Feb 2013 including the fully restored picture as I smell some photoshop work?
